Design thatlooks likeyour business.
Not a template with your logo dropped in. A website designed from your customers, your trade and your reputation outwards, so it looks as good as the work you actually do.
Most business websites are assembled. Ours are designed.
There is a difference between a page that has all the right sections and a page that makes someone want to pick up the phone. We design for the second one: typography with a point of view, layouts that guide the eye, and copy that says what you do without waffle.
What’s
included.
Scoped in writing before we start. Nothing here is an optional extra that appears on the invoice later.
- Discovery & strategy
- Who your customers are, what they search for, what they need to see before they trust you. Decided before any design starts.
- Art direction
- A visual direction that belongs to your business: colour, type, tone and imagery, agreed up front and applied consistently.
- Page design
- Every page designed as its own composition, mobile first, with real content rather than placeholder text.
- Conversion design
- Phone numbers where thumbs land, forms that take a minute, trust signals where doubt appears.
- Content & copy
- We write or edit the words with you. Clear, specific, in your voice, structured for search.
- Design system
- Reusable rules for headings, buttons, spacing and colour so the site stays coherent as it grows.
How we
approach it.
- Principle 01
Search shapes structure
We look at what people in your area actually search for before deciding which pages exist. Design follows that structure, not the other way round.
- Principle 02
Mobile is the design
Most local searches happen on a phone, often outdoors, often in a hurry. The mobile layout is designed first and desktop grows from it.
- Principle 03
Real content, early
Lorem ipsum hides problems. We work with your real headlines, services and photographs from the first draft.
- Principle 04
Performance is a design decision
Fonts, images and motion are chosen with load time in mind. A beautiful page that takes five seconds to appear is not beautiful.
Sounds
familiar?
- Your website looks older than your business
- Customers say they could not find something on it
- It looks fine on a laptop and broken on a phone
- You are embarrassed to put the address on a van
- You have outgrown a DIY builder
- A competitor with worse work has a better site
- Let’s talk about it
Questions
we get asked.
How much does web design cost?
Most of our website projects land between £3,000 and £10,000 depending on the number of pages, the amount of content we write, and whether SEO and photography are included. We give a fixed price after one conversation, and we publish honest price bands in our article on website costs.
If your budget is under £2,000 we will say so early and point you at the best option for the money, which is sometimes not us.
How long does a new website take?
Four to ten weeks is typical for a small business site. The biggest variable is content: if you have photographs and text ready, we move fast. If we are writing and organising photography, allow the longer end.
Do you use WordPress or templates?
We do not start from templates. We design each site from scratch and build it in modern code (Next.js and React) for speed and reliability. If you need to edit content yourself we connect a simple content editor, without turning the whole site into a plugin-dependent WordPress install.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. A redesign starts with what is already working, which we measure rather than guess. We keep the URLs and search rankings you have earned, set up redirects for anything that changes, and only then redesign around what customers need.
Will I be able to update it myself?
If you want to. Most clients want to change opening hours, add a job to the gallery or publish an article, and that is easy. For bigger changes we are a phone call away.
Do you work with businesses outside Stourbridge?
Yes. We are based in Stourbridge and most of our clients are across the Black Country and Worcestershire, but the process works anywhere. Local clients get the option of meeting in person.
