How you pay / Stourbridge & the West Midlands

Pay monthlyfor a websiteworth having.

A bespoke website and the SEO that makes it work, paid as one monthly figure instead of a bill that arrives all at once. Same build, same code, same ownership at the end. Here is exactly how the money works.

Short answer

Pay monthly means the cost of the build is spread across a 24-month minimum term and the ongoing SEO retainer is bundled into the same payment. For a typical Stourbridge business that works out at £625 to £1,917 a month depending on the size of the build and the depth of the search work. No interest is added, the figure is fixed in writing before we start, and the domain, code and Google accounts are in your name throughout.

01 / The arithmetic in full

The arithmetic,
in full.

Most pay-monthly website offers do not show you this table, which is usually the point. A monthly figure hides whether you are paying for a build, a rental, a subscription, or interest on a loan someone else arranged. So here is ours with nothing folded into it.

The build is priced exactly as it would be as a one-off project, using the same bands we publish everywhere else on this site. It is then divided by the term. The SEO retainer is what it would cost separately. Add the two and you have the monthly figure. That is the whole calculation.

Pay monthly, broken down. The build cost is the same figure as a one-off project, spread across a 24-month minimum term, with the SEO retainer bundled into one payment. No interest is added.

02 / What you own and when

What you own,
and when.

This is the question that separates an honest pay-monthly arrangement from a bad one. On a lot of low-cost monthly website deals you are renting: stop paying and the site disappears, because it was never yours and the domain was registered to the agency. We do not work that way, and you should read any contract carefully for exactly this.

With us, the domain is registered in your name on day one. The hosting account is yours. The code lives in a repository in your name. Search Console, Analytics and the Google Business Profile are your accounts, with us added as a user. If you leave, you take all of it and we remove ourselves. The monthly payment is how you pay for work, not a licence to use your own website.

  1. 01 /

Domain in your name, day one

Registered to you, not to us. This is the single most common trap in monthly website deals.

  2. 02 /

Code in a repository you own

Hand-built Next.js and React. Any competent developer can pick it up. No proprietary platform lock-in.

  3. 03 /

    Your Google accounts

Search Console, Analytics and Business Profile in your name with us as a user. We remove ourselves when you ask.

  4. 04 /

    No balloon payment

At the end of the term the build is paid for. Carry on with the SEO, drop to a care plan, or stop. Nothing is owed.

03 / When paying monthly is the wrong idea

When paying monthly is
the wrong idea.

It suits a business with steady revenue that wants the search work running from day one and would rather protect its cash. It suits a business replacing an ad budget: our Dudley client was spending £1.86 a click on Google Ads and switched them off entirely once organic visits reached 366 a month, which is a monthly cost moving from one column to another rather than a new one appearing.

It does not suit everyone, and we would rather say so here than in a sales call.

  1. 01 /

If you have the cash, pay once

There is no interest either way, but a one-off build with no retainer is simply cheaper if you do not need ongoing search work.

  2. 02 /

If you do not need SEO

A local business already ranking well, or one whose work all comes by referral, is paying for something it will not use. Take the build on its own.

  3. 03 /

    If the term worries you

24 months is a real commitment. If your business is at a point where that feels uncomfortable, that discomfort is information worth listening to.

  4. 04 /

If you want a cheap site fast

We are not the cheap option monthly or otherwise. A template builder will cost a few hundred pounds and we will tell you honestly when that is the sensible answer.

For context, these are the routes available to a West Midlands business in 2026, whichever way you choose to pay for them. Our work sits in the small studio band, and paying monthly does not move it into a different one.

Questions

Local
questions.

Is there interest or a credit agreement?

No. The build price is divided by the term and that is it. There is no finance company, no credit check and no interest, which also means there is nothing to default on, only a written agreement between the two of us.

What is the minimum term?

24 months. That is how long it takes to pay off a build at this price without inflating the monthly figure, and it is also roughly how long meaningful SEO takes to compound. After the term it becomes monthly with no commitment.

What happens if I want to stop halfway through?

The remaining build cost becomes payable, because the work was already done and delivered. The SEO portion simply stops. We would rather agree the right scope at the start than have that conversation, so the first meeting is spent making sure the size of the project fits the business.

Do I own the website if I am paying monthly?

Yes, throughout. The domain is registered to you, the code sits in a repository in your name and the Google accounts are yours. Check this carefully with any provider: plenty of monthly website deals are rentals in which the site vanishes when you stop paying.

Can I pay monthly for just the website, without SEO?

We would usually say take the build as a one-off in that case, because spreading it without the search work attached adds administration for very little benefit. If there is a genuine cash-flow reason, ask and we will look at it.

Does the monthly price include hosting?

Yes, along with monitoring, dependency updates and small changes. Hosting a hand-built site is genuinely inexpensive, so it is not a line we pad out.
